Position Summary
Client is seeking a hands-on Senior IT Manager to lead the technical operations, support, continuous improvement, and roadmap for its enterprise ERP and supply-chain application environment.
This person must have experience supporting ERP systems within a large, complex, global organization. Strong preference will be given to candidates with deep experience across multiple Oracle or SAP modules.
This is not a PMO or project-management-only role. The manager will be directly involved in technical troubleshooting, production support, root-cause analysis, system integrations, enhancements, and operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily IT operations for enterprise ERP applications supporting order management, procurement, inventory, supply chain, warehousing, transportation, and logistics.
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on troubleshooting for ERP production issues, integrations, interfaces, workflows, data errors, and recurring incidents.
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective-action efforts to reduce production issues, maintenance tickets, and resolution times.
- Support multiple ERP modules, preferably within Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion, SAP ECC, or SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Oversee EDI, API, middleware, message-queue, and file-based integrations between ERPplatforms, customers, vendors, warehouses, 3PL providers, and transportation partners.
- Support WMS, TMS, inventory planning, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and related supply-chain systems.
- Use KPIs, dashboards, reporting, monitoring, and automation to improve system reliability and operational performance.
- Manage system enhancements, upgrades, testing, releases, change management, and production deployment activities.
- Partner with business leadership, global IT teams, technical teams, vendors, and external service providers.
- Lead and develop a team of four or more IT professionals.
- Define and maintain the ERP technology roadmap while balancing system stability, scalability, cost, and business value.
- Ensure compliance with IT controls, security, documentation, change-management, and auditrequirements.
-
Learn and support Midea’s internally developed and homegrown applications alongside its broader ERP environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- 15+ years of ERP, enterprise applications, supply-chain technology, or related IT experience.
- Experience supporting ERP systems within a large-scale, global, multibillion-dollar organization.
- Deep functional and technical knowledge across multiple Oracle or SAP modules.
- Strong experience with order management, procurement, inventory, warehousing, transportation, logistics, and international supply-chain operations.
- At least five years of experience in application operations, production support, system maintenance, and integration troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of EDI, APIs, middleware, message queues, data interfaces, and file-based integrations.
- Proven experience troubleshooting complex ERP and supply-chain production issues.
- Strong background in incident management, problem management, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Experience managing technical teams, vendors, and cross-functional delivery partners.
-
Ability to communicate effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion, SAP ECC, or SAP S/4HANA experience.
- Experience within global manufacturing, consumer products, appliances, retail, distribution, or logistics organizations.
- Experience supporting WMS, TMS, inventory-planning, EDI, and 3PL integrations.
- ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, PMP, CSCP, CPIM, or related certifications.
Success Measures
- Reduction in recurring incidents and maintenance tickets.
- Faster production-issue resolution and stronger root-cause remediation.
- Improved ERP and integration reliability, uptime, and operational visibility.
- A clear ERP technology roadmap aligned with business priorities.
- Strong performance across the internal IT team, vendors, and business partnerships.
