Job Description
Position Summary
The Presales Solutions Director will play a strategic role in driving business growth by serving as a trusted advisor for SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) solutions. This individual will work closely with sales, delivery, and client stakeholders to understand transportation and logistics challenges, develop solution strategies, and present compelling SAP TM capabilities to prospective customers.
The ideal candidate combines deep SAP TM expertise with strong presales, consulting, and client-facing skills, enabling them to translate complex business requirements into value-driven solution proposals.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead solution demonstrations, presentations, and Proof of Concept (POC) engagements showcasing SAP TM capabilities.
· Collaborate with sales teams to qualify opportunities, shape solution strategies, and support RFx responses.
· Conduct client discovery sessions and workshops to understand transportation and logistics requirements.
· Design SAP TM-based solutions covering transportation planning, execution, freight costing, and settlement processes.
· Develop Statements of Work (SOWs), effort estimates, project sizing, and implementation approaches.
· Create compelling proposals and business cases aligned with customer objectives.
· Partner with SAP and industry stakeholders to support co-selling initiatives and market development activities.
· Maintain knowledge of SAP TM innovations, product roadmaps, and emerging transportation management trends.
· Contribute to go-to-market strategies and revenue growth initiatives.
Required Qualifications
· 10+ years of experience working with SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM).
· Strong background in Presales, Solution Consulting, Solution Architecture, or SAP Advisory roles.
· Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise sales cycles, RFx responses, proposal development, and deal strategy.
· Deep expertise in SAP TM configuration and business processes, including:
o Transportation Planning
o Transportation Execution
o Freight Cost Management
o Freight Settlement
· Experience with SAP Business Network for Logistics.
· Strong understanding of SAP supply chain and logistics solutions including S/4HANA, EWM, and related integrations.
· Proven experience in solution architecture, project estimation, and SOW development.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
· Ability to engage with executive leadership and technical teams alike.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience supporting global transportation and logistics transformation initiatives.
· SAP certifications related to Transportation Management or Supply Chain solutions.
· Experience working within SAP consulting organizations, system integrators, or enterprise transformation teams.
· Knowledge of emerging technologies including AI-driven logistics and supply chain optimization.
