Location: Vernon \ Los Angels, CA (Hybrid or 100% Remote)
Type: 6 Month Contract (Can Be Extended)
Must have GC or USC or H4 or or H1B or TN Visas
Rate: $60-70 C2C per hour

The ideal candidate has broad engineering systems experience, can operate independently, and has supported engineering users in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Must Have:
- LinkedIn with a picture
- 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting and administering engineering systems or CAD platforms
- Experience serving as the primary admin, support lead, or main technical contact for business-critical engineering applications
- Strong experience with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM Pro
- Strong experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical
Position Summary
Forgent Power Solutions is seeking a contract Engineering Systems IT expert to serve as the primary administrator and support lead for our engineering application environment. This person will be the main IT point of contact for administration, support, troubleshooting, configuration, and vendor coordination across core engineering and CAD-related systems.
Required hands-on experience includes:
- SolidWorks
- SolidWorks PDM Pro
- AutoCAD
- AutoCAD Electrical
- Autodesk Vault
- CADLink
The ideal candidate has broad engineering systems experience, can operate independently, and has supported engineering users in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary administrator and support contact for SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM Pro, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Autodesk Vault, and CADLink
- Provide day-to-day support, issue resolution, and troubleshooting for engineering application users
- Administer user access, permissions, system configuration, and general platform governance
- Support CAD and engineering document management processes including version control, revision control, and file/repository workflows
- Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders on escalations, upgrades, patches, licensing, and support issues
- Document system configurations, support procedures, and recurring issues
- Assist with system enhancements, migrations, and continuous improvement efforts
- Partner with engineering, operations, and IT teams to support business needs and maintain stable, effective systems
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting and administering engineering systems or CAD platforms
- Strong experience with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM Pro
- Strong experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical
- Experience supporting Autodesk Vault
- Experience supporting CADLink
- Experience serving as the primary admin, support lead, or main technical contact for business-critical engineering applications
- Strong troubleshooting skills across application support, user access, file/data issues, and system configuration
- Experience supporting engineering users in a manufacturing, industrial, or engineered products environment
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Must be U.S. onshore
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multi-site engineering system environments
- Experience with CAD data management, document control, and revision workflows
- Experience with licensing administration for engineering software
- Experience coordinating with software vendors, resellers, or implementation partners
- Experience with ERP or PLM integrations related to engineering systems
