Position Summary
A regional health system is seeking an experienced Epic Radiant Analyst to support an Epic implementation and ongoing optimization efforts. This role is responsible for the design, build, testing, deployment, and long-term support of Epic Radiant (Radiology / Imaging) workflows across ambulatory and hospital-based settings.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, deep Epic Radiant expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with radiology leadership, operational teams, and clinical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Epic Radiant Application Support
· Lead the design, build, configuration, and maintenance of the Epic Radiant module
- Configure imaging exam records, procedure groups, protocols, modality workflows, and scheduling rules
- Build and support radiology workflows including order management, exam status tracking, technologist workflows, and results-related processes
- Support enterprise imaging standards across ambulatory imaging centers, hospital outpatient departments, and inpatient settings
Implementation & Optimization
· Participate in all Epic implementation phases: design, build, testing, training support, go-live, and stabilization
- Collaborate with radiology leadership and operational stakeholders to define future-state imaging workflows
- Identify opportunities for workflow efficiency, standardization, and post-go-live optimization
- Support Epic upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing system maintenance
Testing & Validation
· Develop and execute unit testing, integrated testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for Radiant workflows
- Validate build against Epic Foundation System recommendations and organizational standards
- Troubleshoot issues and partner with Epic, imaging, revenue cycle, and interface teams to resolve defects
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with:
· Radiology leadership and imaging operations
- Revenue Cycle (Hospital & Professional Billing)
- HIM
- Ambulatory Operations
- MyChart and Interface teams
Support data flows between Radiant, PACS, imaging modalities, and downstream applications (e.g., billing and patient portal systems).
Documentation & Training Support
· Create and maintain Radiant build documentation, workflow diagrams, and tip sheets
- Assist with end-user training for radiologists, technologists, and schedulers
- Provide at-the-elbow support during go-live, activation, and major workflow changes
Required Qualifications
· Epic certification or demonstrated proficiency in Radiant
- 3+ years of experience supporting Epic Radiant in a healthcare environment
- Experience with Epic implementations and/or large-scale optimization initiatives
- Strong understanding of radiology and imaging workflows (inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory)
- Ability to translate operational imaging needs into technical Epic solutions
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred Qualifications
· Epic certifications in additional modules (e.g., Cupid, Orders, Resolute PB/HB, MyChart)
- Experience supporting multi-modality and multi-site imaging environments
- Familiarity with radiology revenue cycle concepts and downstream impacts
- Prior experience supporting go-live and post-go-live stabilization
- Experience working in a community health system or academic medical center
