Job Summary:  

The Systems Engineer I supports over 2,000 remote locations worldwide, including 3 corporate Data Centers in North America and 30 Data Centers in Europe. This position is responsible for delivering engineering tasks for infrastructure projects pertaining to data center technologies and systems that are compliant with company standards, security policies, and best practices in the LKQ data center environments, as well as acting as a support escalation for the operations teams. 

Essential Job Duties: 

• As a member of the Systems Infrastructure Operations, Engineers will focus on achieving successful project.  
• Collaborate with architects, implementation teams, and vendors to design innovative solutions to meet business or IT needs. 
• Design, deploy, and maintain complex IT systems, using company standards, security policies, and best practices. 
• Collaborate with project management organization to define and deliver on project milestone tasks as part of a project schedule. 
• Collaborate with project managers to understand and adhere to project budgets. 
• Comply with LKQ change management process as part of project delivery work. 
• Participate in the annual project budgeting cycle and make recommendations that are relevant to infrastructure enhancements or refreshes and help provide budgetary numbers for the proposed projects.  
• Evaluate new products and provide technical and financial summaries of these products. 
• Create and maintain technical documentation. 
• Serve as an escalation point for System Administrators and Engineers to resolve escalated incidents or requests. 
• Mentor System Administrators and Engineers. 
• Identify opportunities for improvement and take the necessary action to implement the improvement. 
• Assumes other duties as assigned. 

Basic Qualifications (Minimum Required Experience, Education, Knowledge/Skills/Abilities, Essential Physical Demands): 

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent additional experience. 

Technical Skills: 

• Configure and manage Office 365 tenants, licensing, and access controls including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, and other Office 365 services. 
• Administer Exchange Online mailboxes, distribution lists, and email security settings. Configure and manage email retention policies, spam filters, and message encryption. 
• Experience with Hybrid migration for Exchange On-prem. 
• Experience with end-to-end project plan for migrating new Entities from O365-to-O365 tenant and G-suite to O365 tenant.  
• Direct experience with QUEST and Sharegate migration tools. 
• Experience in Azure IaaS which includes provisioning, configuring, and scaling Linux/Windows VMs. 
• Implementing VM backup and disaster recovery. 
• Experience with PowerShell scripting 
• Azure AD Management: Provision, configure, and manage Azure resources. Investigate and resolve Azure-related issues, including performance problems, connectivity errors, and service interruptions. Monitor system logs, diagnose problems, and escalate to appropriate teams if needed. 
• Set up and Manage Enterprise applications SSO and SAML configurations. 
• Set up and manage Azure AD Connect for directory synchronization between on-premises Active Directory and Azure AD. Ensure proper configuration, synchronization schedules, and troubleshooting of synchronization issues. 
• Experience in Azure Identity and Access management, Information Protection (AIP), Privileged access management. 
• Plan and schedule Changes, Coordinating with different stakeholders. 
• Good analytical & problem-solving skills 
• Self-motivated who takes initiative and works well in a team environment with the ability to meet deadlines. 

Experience: 

• 8+ years IT Infrastructure experience in an environment of comparable size/complexity. 
• Familiar with ITIL processes and ITSM ticket systems, preferably ServiceNow. 
• Experience working in large IT departments supporting over 2000 servers and 15,000 employees. 
• The ability to learn quickly and support a broad array of technologies. 
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. 
• Good interpersonal skills that include the ability to effectively communicate in both writing and verbally and to be able to work with clients and remotely assist non-technical users with troubleshooting. 
• Ability to work on a diverse team with members located in multiple international locations.
