Role: SDET | Domain: Banking Experience: 4–6 Years Lead: 1 (6–8 years, including lead experience) Senior Engineers: 3 (4–5 years) Junior Engineers: 2 (3–4 years) Primary Skills: Playwright, JavaScript, AI-assisted Automation

Job Summary:

Automation Test Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Playwright and JavaScript, software testing methodologies, AI-assisted automation, scalable E2E automation frameworks, and Agentic AI. Banking domain experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

➔ Develop, execute, and maintain Playwright + JavaScript automation for UI, API, and E2E testing.

➔ Build reusable and scalable automation frameworks, fixtures, assertions, hooks, test data, and parallel execution.

➔ Execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, and E2E testing.

➔ Use AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar for test development, test generation, debugging, and maintenance.

➔ Explore Agentic AI for test planning, test case generation, execution, failure analysis, and reporting.

➔ Integrate automation with Jenkins/CI/CD and support continuous testing.

➔ Analyse failures, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams.

➔ Work with BAs, Developers, Product Owners, and QA teams on requirements and test coverage.

➔ Handle test planning, test case design, defect management, release validation, documentation, reports, and quality metrics.

➔ Improve automation coverage, framework efficiency, and testing productivity.

Required Skills:

➔ Playwright + JavaScript

➔ SDLC, STLC, test methodologies, defect life cycle

➔ Automation frameworks, fixtures, assertions, hooks, test data management, parallel execution

➔ AI-assisted Testing: GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar

➔ Agentic AI concepts and AI-driven testing workflows

➔ Banking/Financial Services domain, products, transactions, and workflows

➔ API Testing: REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, request/response validation, authentication

➔ Jira, Zephyr, or equivalent test management tools

➔ Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools

➔ Git and code collaboration

➔ Debugging, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

➔ Independent work and cross-functional collaboration

Good-to-Have Skills:

➔ AI-assisted test generation, self-healing automation, intelligent test selection, automated failure analysis

➔ Agentic AI frameworks, Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI agents integrated with testing tools

➔ Playwright Test Runner: retries, tags, fixtures, parallel execution, reporting

➔ API mocking, network interception, test data setup/cleanup

➔ Allure, HTML reports, automation dashboards
